Open data and high value data sets:

Directive (EU) 2019/1024 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on open data and the re-use of public sector information establishing the legal framework for the re-use of public sector information, making it available to the public as open data, introducing the concept of high value data sets as a particular type of open data; and establishing the general categories and disclosing the publication of an implementing regulation which will regulate the detail of HVDS

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/138 of the European Commission of 21 December 2022 establishing a list of specific high-value data sets and modalities for publication and re-use. 

Act 37/2007 of 16 November on the re-use of public sector information. (Consolidated text May 2023). It is adapted to transpose Directive 2019/1024, including the provisions on high value data sets (HVDS) and the Implementing Regulation.

INSPIRE data:

Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Space Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) laying down general rules for the establishment of an Infrastructure for Space Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) for the implementation of Community environmental policies and policies or activities which may have an impact on the environment.

Statistics:

Act 12/1989 of 9 May, on the Public Statistical Function, which regulates the planning and production of statistics for State purposes carried out by the State Administration and the entities dependent on it; organisation of its statistical services and its relations in statistical matters with the Autonomous Regions and Local Organizations, as well as with the European Community and International Organisations.

Amendment of the Law. (Provision 11311 of Spanish Official Gazette (BOE) 08-07-2022).

2025-2028 National Statistical Plan, the main instrument for organising the statistical activity of the General State Administration. It contains the statistics to be compiled in the four-year period by the services of the General National Administration, the General Council of the Judiciary and the Bank of Spain; and those to be carried out totally or partially with the participation of the Autonomous Regions and local entities by virtue of cooperation agreements with the state statistical services or, where appropriate, in execution of the applicable laws and regulations. 

Annual Programme 2025, which develops the Statistical Plan for the year 2025.
